Marta Garrido Macías

Biography

Marta Garrido-Macías has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Granada, with the thesis entitled “Maintenance of abusive relationships and decision-making: sexual coercion and associated factors”. Her research stage has been developed through two research scholarships during her undergraduate and master’s studies, and an FPU scholarship during her doctorate stage. She has carried out two research stays (Potsdam and Indiana) and has published numerous scientific articles in high-impact journals indexed to JCR. In addition, she belongs to several R + D + I research projects related to gender violence and psychosocial processes associated with the economic crisis. Her teaching experience focuses on various subjects in the area of Social Psychology (e.g., Work Psychology, Prevention and Treatment of Delinquency, Psychosocial Processes of Influence and Advertising…). She currently works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alicante, where she carries out her teaching and research activities.
