Alba Oviedo-Gutiérrez

Biography

After finishing my degree, I worked in third sector groups in the design and implementation of programs and activities related to equality and agroecology. Specifically, in rural environments and with a community-centered perspective.

After this experience in intervention, I participated as an accompanying psychologist and researcher in the European project STOP: STop intimate partner violence in Pregnancy – EU project 881648 (REC-RDAP-GBV-AG-2019) aimed at the development of online screening and intervention tools in gender violence for pregnant women.

Currently, I am a PhD student in the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Granada. My thesis, directed by Jesús L. Megías, focuses on studying the relationship between power and gender violence, including attitudinal and motivational variables that may lead men to perpetrate this violence.
