Danna Galván Hernández

Biography

I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Granada. I was a recipient of an FPI grant (within the R&D&I project «Alliance Processes in Coping with Threats to Identity and Perceived Control (ALIADXS)», REF: PID2019-111549GB-I00) and currently hold an FPU grant. My research focuses on intergroup dynamics between disadvantaged groups in the pursuit of social change. Specifically, my work to date has explored the underlying dynamics of collaboration (or separation) between the feminist and LGBTIQA+ movements in Spain, extending my thesis project to other contexts (such as Poland, Canada, and Germany). I have completed research stays at the University of Queensland (Australia, SIGN Group) and the University of Warsaw (Poland, Center for Prejudice Reduction).

I am very interested in the dissemination of academic knowledge to the general population, a motivation that has led me to be part of the  Psychobeers team and to be one of the creators of the Psicolobas Association (@Psicolobas), a space for the scientific dissemination of social psychology, and to participate in the University of Granada’s 3-Minute Thesis competition, as well as other specific outreach events (e.g., Researchers’ Night 2024, 2025).
